Growing nicely!

After all of the heavy rain the last few days have been much drier. I will be lifting my shallots any day now, the foilage is falling over and starting to die back, leaving lots of good sized bulbs for cooking and pickling.
I am very pleased with my fennel, the first of which will be ready for cutting in a few weeks, so much so that I have just pricked out a further 40 seedlings for planting out soon.
Finally the purple podded peas are now starting to fill out. I will be saving the seed for next year, so this years crop was just to build up a useable amount of seed.
